LIMINAL GRAPHICS | Hobart's Trompe L'oeil
Posted 18 December 2013
You may have noticed something strange on Hobart’s waterfront…
A little girl with polka-dotted pants tucked underneath a window ledge eating a toffee apple?
Liminal Graphics teamed up with Tas Water and photographer Chelsea Parsons to disguise a meter box. We created an optical illusion or trompe l’oeil (don’t worry we weren’t sure what it meant either) that depicts the continuation of the streetscape on all four sides of the box.
We are looking forward to seeing how people interact with the box and how they create their own photographic illusions (licking the toffee apple?) over the festive season.
