Recognition of The Hedberg as an award winning learning space is a testament to the ambitions of the project.
The Hedberg reorients the purpose of a creative and cultural precinct from a series of isolated spaces towards a more interconnected spatial experience that facilitates formal and informal cultural activation, where professionals rub shoulders with students and the community. It redefines the cultural and creative model to showcase the creative capacity of Hobart to the world and to co-locate a broad variety of education, production, presentation and public cultural and creative activities. It presents, a festival in a building.
Design by LIMINAL Architecture with WOHA.
The Hedberg is delivered through a partnership between the University of Tasmania, the Tasmanian and Federal governments and the Theatre Royal.
