It was a fabulous evening celebrating the exceptional talent that significantly contributes to our cultural community.
Congratulations to the Theatre Council of Tasmania for getting this inaugural event recognising excellence in theatre, up and running and congratulations to all the nominees and winners!

We’re excited to see the final result for the trophy we designed for the inaugural Tasmanian Theatre Awards which will be presented to the winners this Saturday.
Keeping in line with the theatrical theme, the trophy draws on spatial elements used to create theatrical space.

Immigration Place will be a significant commemorative place for all Australians to celebrate our immigrant heritage.
Like ducks on the water, we may seem calm, but we’ve been working flat out to develop the new store for Huon Aquaculture built by Cordwell Lane at the recently opened Brooke Street Pier.
Come and try Huon’s seriously good salmon and check out their bespoke fitout and interpretative elements… smell the aromas of the smoking chips and whisky, learn about the tools of the trade, take home recipes, and of course salmon!
We are pleased to announce Elvio Brianese has been appointed by the Italian Government as Honorary Consul in Tasmania. This is an exciting role for Elvio, who will work to develop initiatives to help strengthen relations between Italy and Tasmania as well as opportunities for cultural and creative exchange.
We continue to invest in our interdisciplinary creative community and this time, together with the Salamanca Arts Centre, HyPe and Silver Lining Projects, we are giving Tasmania’s creative talent access to one of the world's leading dance companies from New York. Dancer and choreographer Tara Lorenzen of the Trisha Brown Dance Company will be in Hobart next week to take a 3 day workshop for our talented performing artists exploring the creative process.
The Tasmanian Telstra Business Women's Award finalist were announced today. We are very pleased to say our Tracey Allen is a finalist. The winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner on the 17th October. We are keeping our fingers crossed. Liminal Architecture was announced runner up in the national Timber Cladding category of the Australian Timber Design Awards 2014 at the awards ceremony on Thursday 18th September.
The Australian Timber Design Awards are Australasia’s most recognised stamp of excellence in timber design.
